Knights Battle to the Wire in 38-35 Loss to Reigning AAC Power Reinhardt
Grayson, KY — October 11, 2025 — The Kentucky Christian University Knights went toe-to-toe with the AAC's perennial powerhouse on Saturday, falling just short in a 38–35 thriller against Reinhardt University — the conference champion every season since 2018.
Reinhardt struck first with a pair of early touchdowns, but the Knights responded with a momentum-shifting 68-yard fumble return by Dashawn Webster, tying the game at 14–14. The Eagles added another late score to take a 21–14 lead into halftime.
The second half turned into a heavyweight battle. After Reinhardt extended the lead to 28–14, Jovari Gamble powered in from 20 yards out to pull the Knights closer. Quarterback Jackson Wasik then went to the air, hitting Jason Cobb for a 28-yard touchdown and Jordan West for a 14-yard strike to even the game at 35–35 late in the fourth quarter.
Reinhardt managed a final drive and converted a 22-yard field goal with just seven seconds left to escape with the narrow win.
