Kentucky Christian Knights Dominate Rio Grande, 42–6
Jackson , OH — October 4, 2025 — The Kentucky Christian University Knights delivered a statement win on the road Saturday, defeating Rio Grande 42–6 in their conference opener.
The Knights jumped out to an early lead with a safety and never looked back. Quarterback Jackson Wasik threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Calvin Brown on a 60-yard strike and Jalen Briscoe on a 35-yard score. On the ground, Jovari Gamble rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns to pace the attack.
Defensively, the Knights were just as dominant. Dashawn Webster's 54-yard interception return for a touchdown capped a first half where KCU built a 35–0 lead. The defense limited Rio Grande to just 101 total yards and nine first downs.
"We played great complementary football today! I'm proud of the way we came out and played as a team," said Head Coach Jason Aubry. "We've got plenty to work on going forward, but we are excited about what is going on here at KCU."
The Knights improve to 2–2 on the season (1–0 conference) and will look to carry this momentum into next week's Homecoming matchup vs Reinhardt University.
