Ricky Kempton Named KCU Head Bass Fishing Coach
Grayson, KY - Kentucky Christian University is pleased to announce the appointment of Ricky Kempton as the new Head Bass Fishing Coach. With an impressive background in both fishing and community service, Kempton brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role.
A veteran of the Army National Guard, Kempton served during Desert Storm and has since been an active member of his community. His passion for fishing dates back to the mid-1990s, and he has been an integral part of the Kentucky Bass Federation for many years. Kempton's commitment to the sport is evident through his involvement as the State Tournament and Youth Bass Fishing Director for approximately eight years.
Beyond his fishing expertise, Kempton is deeply rooted in his faith and has been a member of his church for nearly two decades. He has also participated in mission trips to Uganda on two occasions, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact both locally and globally.
KCU is thrilled to have Kempton join their coaching staff, as his extensive knowledge and experience will undoubtedly benefit the university's bass fishing program. With his leadership, the team is poised to achieve new heights and continue their tradition of excellence.
