Bio

Dean was born and raised in the farmland of south-central Nebraska. He played basketball at Lexington Senior High, then went on to Nebraska Christian College, where he walked on to the basketball program. Dean was fortunate to start four years, win back to back national titles and earn an Academic All-American award.
Since then he’s been blessed to stay close to the game. He coached middle school teams and helped out with a small local Christian school. Dean was blessed to coach his son his senior year of high school and assistant his daughter’s team. In July of 2022, he was grateful to be accepted on to the staff of KCU. He’s been a professor of business and sport management since August of 2009 at KCU, and he’s been on staff with the women’s basketball team for three years. Dean is literally living a dream to coach women’s college basketball. I’m grateful to represent the university on the court and on the recruiting trail! My coaching style is quite subdued, more detail-based. I love trying to help each individual player maximize their impact both for herself and the team. Of course, everything I do is a Kingdom thing!
