Men’s Soccer Drops Road Tilt
Columbia, SC - In the first road trip for the Knights soccer team in 2022, KCU traveled to Columbia, SC for an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game against the Rams of Columbia International University. Even though the men’s version of our SoccerKnights scored a goal in each half, it was not nearly enough to stave of the offensive power of CIU.
For the third game in a row, Ethan Combs found the back of the net. In the game’s 25th minute, Combs scored an unassisted goal to cut the Rams lead to 1-3. Unfortunately, CIU scored four more times in the first half and then added five more in the second half to win the game 2-12.
Jaime Rodriguez made sure KCU would not be shut out following halftime as he also scored an unassisted goal. His first goal of the season came in the 79th minute.
Who's Up Next
KCU will trek down Route 23 to (RV) Milligan University next Wednesday to take on the Buffs. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
Go Knights!!!
