41st Annual Queen City Invite
The cross country season kicked off this past Friday at Northern Kentucky University, where the Knights tackled a challenging 5k course amidst the rolling hills of NKU. Despite a weather-related delay, the KCU team took to the line with determination.
For the men's team, freshman James Stanger led the charge with a time of 17:00.02, followed by fellow freshman Cody Brown, who finished with a time of 17:58.4. Freshman Machi Davidson rounded out the trio, completing the race in 18:33.5.
On the women's side, freshman Sallie Robbins from Rowan County, KY, made her collegiate debut in the 5k, competing against a strong field of runners.
The teams will next compete on September 14th at Berea College, where the men will race an 8k and the women a 5k.
