1. How has KCU basketball shaped you?
I believe that playing basketball has made me a better person all-around. I realized that there was more to life than the game of basketball. I have focused on bettering myself as a Christian man.
2. What’s your plan after graduation?
After graduation I plan to become a High School social studies teacher and coach.
3. What’s your favorite team memory?
My favorite team memory would be bonding with my teammates when we traveled and played in Oklahoma. We were able to become positive influences to children in need.
4. What has playing at the collegiate level taught you?
Playing at this level has taught me how to handle myself in certain situations.
5. Favorite coach? Why?
My favorite coach would have to be my high school coach, Justin Maynard. He showed me how to be a good Christian leader on and off the court.
6. Lesson learned at KCU you’ll take with you for the rest of your life?
I’ve learned that there is more to life than basketball. That glorifying God and furthering my walk as a Christian are the most important things. I also learned how important my family and friends are to me.
7. Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor would have to be Dr. Olson. He is a great Christian man, and he really cares about his students.
8. Favorite bible verse?
1 Corinthians 10:31, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
9. Favorite professional athlete? Favorite team? Why?
Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe is one of the most influential people in my life. He is one of the reasons that I picked up a basketball. I tried to copy my game after him.
10. Why did you choose to come to KCU?
I chose to come to KCU because I had the opportunity to play basketball and be close to home at the same time. I loved the family atmosphere as well.
11. Team nickname?
Cam Boogie
12. What does your offseason training consist of?
My offseason training consists of weightlifting, getting as many shots up as I can, and playing in summer leagues. I try to focus strictly on becoming a better player.
13. If you had to pick any other sport to play, what would you choose and why?
I would choose to play baseball. I would pick baseball because I played this sport almost my entire life.
14. How long have you played your sport?
I have played basketball since I was 4-5 years old. My family had a huge impact on my athletic career because they have always pushed me to become a better player.
