Knights Take Wilberforce in Seven
Grayson, KY – Kentucky Christian hosted the Bulldogs of Wilberforce University for the return game of their home/home series in 2023. Having secured the first game at Wilberforce, the Knights looked to earn the season sweep in today’s contest.
By scoring at least one run in all seven innings played, the Knights defeated WU 23-11 in this high scoring contest. For KCU, 10 of the 25 players that saw action were credited with at least one hit and an RBI. There were four extra-base hits with two of those leaving the yard. The Knights produced six stolen bases as well.
- Justin Legg led the offensive on-slaught by going 2-3 with three runs scored, four RBIs and a dramatic 7th inning three-run home run to secure the win.
- Also providing offensive punch, Cody Holub was 2-3 and scored four runs with an RBI from his solo home run.
- Max Moore (3), Cam Marushi (2), Cole Thomason (2), and Noah Waltz (2) had multiple runs driven in during the score-shortened game.
- Adam Cooper collected the win by surrendering just one hit and striking out three in his two innings of work.
Who's Up Next
The Knights travel to Milligan University for their next AAC conference series this coming weekend (March 17-18). Friday’s 9-inning game will start at 6:00 PM, while Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
